The B & R Automation X20BC0053 module from the X20 Fieldbus Input Output Modules series is a compact DeviceNet-enabled I/O controller offering industrial-grade communication and diagnostics. It supports a maximum Transfer Rate of 500 kbit/s with automatic transfer rate detection and integrates a 5-pin male multipoint connector for DeviceNet adapter (slave) interfaces. The module draws only 1.5 W on the bus and includes an integrated terminating resistor switched mechanically. It delivers comprehensive diagnostics—Module Status Diagnostics, Bus Function Diagnostics, Data Transfer Diagnostics, and 24 V DeviceNet Voltage Diagnostics—through dedicated status LEDs and software. Configuration and mapping are fully automated (Auto I/O Configuration, Auto I/O Mapping, Auto Scan) and the device seamlessly integrates into linear and modular systems such as Allen Bradley, ensuring reliable performance across a wide temperature range.
