The X20CP1583 from B & R Automation is an entry-level controller in the X20 series, featuring an Intel Atom processor at 333 MHz and 128 MB DDR2 RAM for reliable performance. Engineered to provide a cost-effective and efficient solution, this controller includes versatile connectivity options like Ethernet, USB, and Powerlink, supporting poll response chaining for superior network performance. It offers a CompactFlash slot, an expansion slot for additional communication modules, and an RS-232 interface with a maximum data transfer rate of 115.2 kbps. Enhanced with fanless cooling and housed in an IP20-rated enclosure, it ensures durability for indoor applications. The X20CP1583 includes integrated I/O processors, 1 MB SRAM user RAM, and a floating point unit for advanced calculations. The real-time clock has a resolution of 1 second with accuracy from -10 to 10 ppm at 25°C.
