The X20DC2190 by B & R Automation is a specialized I/O module designed for the X20 system, serving as an ultrasonic transducer capable of path and speed measurement. It integrates with devices via the RS422 interface, activated by start/stop signals. Supporting up to four path measurements with two ultrasonic rods, it provides a 24 VDC supply for external sensors and has two channels for path and speed monitoring. It supports EP start/stop, Start/stop, and DPI/P encoder classifications, facilitating direct parameter reading through DPI/P protocol. The module allows for simultaneous multi-magnet measurement of up to four magnets. Its path channel measures up to 10.4 meters and the speed channel ranges between ±3.2 m/s. Power consumption is minimal at 0.01 watts for the bus and 1.1 watts for the I/O interface. Status indicators and software diagnostics offer comprehensive module operation insights. Configuration with an X20 bus module and terminal block is necessary for functionality testing.
