The X20DI2371, produced by B & R Automation, is a robust digital input module designed for industrial automation. Operating at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC, it meets EN 61131-2 standards for Type 1 digital inputs, supporting a voltage range of 24 VDC with an input current of 3.75 mA. It features a sink input circuit and uses 3-wire connections, with an input resistance of approximately 6.4 kΩ. The module includes both hardware and software input filtering, offering a hardware filter time of 100 µs and adjustable software filter defaulting to 1 ms. It provides a switching threshold of < 5 VDC (low) to > 15 VDC (high) and incorporates a built-in sensor power supply with a 12 W consumption cap. Equipped with short-circuit protection, its summation current is limited to 0.5 A, with channel-to-bus isolation but not channel-to-channel. It supports versatile mounting options in multiple orientations.
