The X20IF1091-1 communications module by B & R Automation is an integral component of the X20 product line, designed for versatile communication interfaces. It features an X2X link master interface and requires installation in the X20BC1083 expandable bus controller. This module, which boasts LED indicators for data transfer and status, consumes 1.29 Watts of power and complies with CE, ATEX, UL, and EAC certifications. It supports a line network technology with a 4-pin male multipoint connector capable of accommodating up to 253 stations over a maximum distance of 1000 meters between stations. The module includes an internal bus terminating resistor, provides electrical isolation for the PLC, and requires a separately ordered TB704 terminal block for wire termination. It supports horizontal and vertical mounting orientations, operates in temperatures ranging from -25 to 60°C, depending on orientation, and is rated IP20 for indoor use. Firmware management is facilitated through Automation Studio software. Qualified personnel must handle installation and maintenance.
