The X20IF10A1-1, produced by B & R Automation, is a versatile communication module designed for integration with third-party components in X20 systems. Featuring an ASi master interface, the module is compatible with the X20BC1083 Powerlink bus controller and various X20 CPUs. It requires a separate TB704 terminal block for wiring connections utilizing wires with a cross-sectional area up to 2.5 mm². The module is equipped with three LED indicators for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes. It operates with a 24 to 32 Volts DC power supply and supports a maximum fieldbus current draw of 27 milliamps. With communication capabilities for up to 62 nodes over distances of up to 100 meters (extendable to 500 meters), it maintains cycle times of 3 to 5 milliseconds. Certified with an IP20 protection rating, it is capable of both horizontal and vertical mounting. Firmware updates are handled through the Automation Studio software.
