The X20MM4455 by B & R Automation is a versatile PWM motor bridge module designed for the X20 PLC systems, facilitating the control of four DC motors. Operating with output voltages from 24 to 48 VDC and supporting a current up to 6 Amps (up to 10 Amps maximum), it can function as a current controller for inductive loads. This module is equipped with twelve digital inputs for incremental counting and utilizes a full-bridge configuration to allow bidirectional motor control, with a PWM frequency range of 15 to 60 kHz at a 15-bit resolution. Featuring three LED indicators for status, operational state, and I/O functions, it offers diagnostics via software. The module has a power bus consumption of 0.01 Watts and I/O power consumption of 2.4 Watts. External I/O power usage depends on frequency, peaking at 5.4 Watts per channel. Suitable for horizontal mounting, it performs optimally below 2000 meters altitude and 50°C, with an IP20 protection rating.
