X20RT8401
The X20RT8401 module by B & R Automation is a reACTION technology element designed for integration with X20 PLC systems. It features four high-speed digital input channels and four configurable digital mixed channels for input or output, utilizing one-wire connections. The inputs are configured for sink connections, while outputs use push-pull connections. The module boasts ultrafast response times of up to 1 microsecond, with command programming via function blocks accessible through special libraries and edit-capable in Automation Studio. Even in network disruptions, function blocks remain programmable with blackout mode. Equipped with LED indicators for status and diagnostics, the module operates with 0.01 W consumption on the module bus and 1.7 W for internal I/O, plus an additional 1.1 W for actuators. The X20RT8401 supports 64 MB application memory and ensures data retention for 20 years at 55°C, allowing up to 100,000 erase/write cycles. The module supports 24 V DC operations with 600 mA output current, offering short-circuit and overload protections.
