The X20SL8001 by B & R Automation is a high-performance safety controller from the X20 series, engineered for effective safety management in automation systems. It supports up to 100 safety nodes, allowing extensive network communication of safety devices via a POWERLINK interface that offers a 100 Mbit/s transfer rate. Equipped with a 266 MHz Intel XScale processor, it ensures fast, reliable performance with a power-efficient consumption of 5.1 W. The X20SL8001 features a 2-port hub for efficient device networking, a non-volatile real-time clock with 1-second resolution, and operates on a 24 VDC nominal voltage. Monitoring is simplified with indicators for CPU, POWERLINK, and SafeKEY, and it includes a safe key slot for enhanced access control. Designed for flexible installation, the unit can be oriented vertically or horizontally and is IP 20 rated, providing protection against environmental elements.
