The X20SM1426, developed by B & R Automation, is a stepper motor module designed for precision control, specifically when paired with X20 PLCs to operate a single stepper motor. It delivers 24 Volts DC to the motor, supporting a maximum current of 1 Amp, with brief surges up to 1.2 Amps for 2 seconds requiring a 10-second recovery. This module features four digital inputs for encoder or limit switch functionality, rated at 24 Volts DC, supporting 1-wire connections with a typical resistance of 18.2 kiloohms. It boasts a step resolution of up to 256 microsteps per step and a controller frequency of 38.4 kHz. The module includes an ABR incremental encoder with a 16-bit counter and a 50 kHz input frequency. Diagnostics are software-accessible, and three LED indicators show status. Compliant with IP20, HazLoc, CE, UL, KC, and ATEX standards, the X20SM1426 can be installed vertically or horizontally by qualified personnel.
