The EK1101-0010, crafted by Beckhoff, is an EtherCAT coupler that plays a pivotal role in linking EtherCAT terminals with EtherCAT device protocols. The device, furnished with an RJ45 socket, plays a pivotal role in the conversion of telegrams from the Ethernet 100BASE-TX into the E-bus signal format, minimising latency. For seamless data transfer, it utilises EtherCAT/Ethernet 22AWG shielded copper cables. It facilitates the HotConnect procedure and supports a station with unlimited EtherCAT terminals. The device identifies each EtherCAT component group using a unique ID. The robust polycarbonate housing encompasses an LED signal indicator and has dimensions of 44 x 100 x 68mm. The EK1101-0010 showcases three spring power contacts and can withstand a temperature range of -25°C and +85°C. It is CE certified, has a data transfer rate of 100Mbits/s and a maximum current rating of 2000mA on the E-bus. The device supports a maximum distance of 300m between two stations.
