The X20SLX410, produced by B & R Automation, is a versatile module for X20 PLC systems, serving as an openSAFETY manager for safety-related applications, capable of integrating with up to ten SafeNODEs. It supports SafeLOGIC and SafeMOTION with a maximum of four axes. The module offers four safe digital inputs, configurable via SafeDESIGNER and Automation Studio software, and features four pulse outputs with a nominal current of 50 milliamps. With a nominal 24 V DC voltage, channels are isolated from the main bus but not from each other. It supports communication only through a SafeLOGIC controller. The module has a maximum I/O cycle time of 1600 microseconds, input resistance over 7.33k ohms, and error detection in 200 milliseconds. It consumes 0.32 W bus power and 1.25 W internally, excluding actuators' 0.6 W. It is IP20 rated and can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, with diagnostics available through LEDs and software.
