The SM 17/35-TA, produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, is an advanced inverter system designed to optimize the output of brushless servo motors. It excels in managing the speed and torque of these motors and is equipped with rotor position recognition and a built-in brushless tachometer. Its design includes a fitted optimization card for motor speed regulation. With a 17 A rated current and a 35 A peak current, this module is engineered with several safety features, such as an automatic failure detection mechanism and a support system that decreases current supply by 50% within two seconds if the motor jams. The module also includes maximum operating height of 1000 amsl and has humidity limits per DIN 40040 standards. Other features include a power loss limit of 150W, commutation monitoring, a fault signal for abnormal rotor positions and alarming temperatures, and a current regulator function for motor's winding current control.
