The Beckhoff EK1110-0008 is an EtherCAT extension module that transforms E-bus signals into 100-BASE-TX Ethernet to expand an EtherCAT network. It's installed at the end of an EtherCAT Terminal Block, permitting user to connect an Ethernet cable through an RJ45 or M8 Bus connector. Different from EK1110 EtherCAT extension that utilizes an RJ45 bus connector, the EK1110-0008 leverages a screwed M8 bus connector type. This extension can lengthen an electrically-isolated EtherCAT strand up to 100m. It uses a shielded Ethernet CAT 5 Cable for signal transmission. With no configuration or parameterization needed, power supply is provided via the E-bus. An M8 socket ensures compatibility with EtherCAT box modules and it supports all EtherCAT protocols without requiring configuration or address settings. Its typical current consumption is 130mA, and it weighs 50g with about 1 µs delay time.
