The Kollmogen U9D-H/HP ENC-SPCL is a high-performance Servodisc Platinum series servo motor for delivering thorough motion control. Differing from traditional motors, it boasts an iron-less disc armature increasing efficiency and performance. The lighter and compact armature is made from multiple copper conductor layers, accelerating up to ten times faster than conventional servo motors. Eliminating cogging at all functioning speeds, Servodisc motors offer rapid torque output due to their low electrical time constant. Their peak torque capability surpasses that of ironcore motors, and there's almost no arcing due to very low induction, ensuring longer brush life. Available for a vast range of applications, these motors vary in power from 30 Watts to 4.5 kilowatts. This specific U9D-H/HP ENC-SPCL model has a rated speed of 3000 RPM and includes numerous options such as integral tachometers, forced air cooling, and fail-safe brakes among others. Only certified professionals should install and maintain these Servodisc motors.
