As an advanced CANopen master terminal, the Beckhoff EL6751 uses an EtherCAT connection eliminating the need for PC PCI slots. The terminal enables the transfer of CAN messages without affecting the application program. It includes a robust protocol implementation providing features such as an online bus load display, comprehensive parameter and diagnostics interfaces, emergency heartbeat, and message handling. Additionally, it supports parameter communication during both start-up and operation, synchronization with the PC controller task cycle, zero cumulative jitter, and fast communication of input and output data via process data objects (PDO). It permits several communication types, including Cyclic synchronous, Requested, and Event-driven. The EL6751's mounting employs two DIN rails. Equipped with a CANopen bus system and a Fieldbus channel, the terminal supports data transfer rates from 10 to 1000kbaud and accommodates up to 127 slave bus devices. Meeting both EN 60068 and EN 61000 standards, it provides strong vibration resistance and EMC immunity.
