The Beckhoff AX5206-0000-0202, a member of the AX5000 series, is a compact, dual-channel servo drive. It is scalable, features expansive motor current measurements, speedy capture inputs and efficient energy management with an active DC-link. Safety measures include Safe-torque off, overvoltage protection, and advanced TwinSAFE functions. Additional safeguard against accidental drive axis restart can be provided by an external unit. The AX5206-0000-0202 communicates via the EtherCAT system bus and follows the SERCOTM profile as per IEC 61800-7-204 (SoE). Designed for use within a dust and water ingress-free control cabinet, it carries an IP 20 protection rating and EAC, CL, and cULus approvals. It operates efficiently up to a temperature of 55°C, has a power loss of 160 W, and a DC-link capacitance of 470 µF. To further enhance energy saving, extra DC-links may be added and an external brake module unit with an internal braking resistor of 250 W may be installed.
