The Danaher-made Kollmorgen S6002 is a two-axis micro-stepping drive. This compact device provides motor current settings from 0 to 6 amps, selected via a dial. It features an inductance setting that runs from 2 to 60 mH per phase and lets users select motor resolutions from 200 to 25,400 steps per revolution; with eight selectable options available. The S6002 allows waveforms selection from pure sine to 4% 3rd harmonic for optimal step accuracy and smoothness. Additional features include an auto standby current reduction for minimized heating and extensive torque for application via anti-resonance compensation. Adjustments for phase offsets and motor inductance can be made on the front panel. The device supports both CCW and CW and step and direction input formats and enables regenerative applications via internal power dump. With a total 16 settings, the S6002 operates motors with a maximum of 100mH per phase inductance and works with IDC-supplied step motors or other types alike.
